Today I’m presenting you with the track Bright & Early by the American/Portuguese composer and piano player Bernie Rosa, based in New York. Bernie started to play the piano at the age of 6 and wrote his first piece of music at the age of 13. He has attended several international conservatories such as Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow and Manhattan School of Music in New York CIty.
The track Bright & Early was released as a single on the 24th of march, 2023.
Tell us something about your track Bright & Early!
Bright & Early is a solo piano piece in C-sharp major inspired by “Les Barricades Mystérieuses” and the C-sharp major prelude of the second book of the Well-Tempered Clavier. I composed this piece over Christmas while visiting my parents in Lisbon, Portugal. “Bright & Early” is both nostalgic and hopeful, in equal parts. These clashing emotions result in a bitter/sweet piece, yet with the promise of better days ahead.
