Spotted: Jonathan Roberts – TipToes

Today I’m introducing you to the composer and pianist Jonathan Robers and his track TipToes. Jonathan is based in Liverpool, England and started playing the piano at the age of four. TipToes is Jonathans first release!

When I moved to Liverpool in 2009 for university, I involved myself with a variety of bands that played different genres such as Math Metal, Indie Rock and Country. Playing and recording with these bands, across the UK and Europe, I continued to compose my own music on the side. It wasn’t until 2019 that I decided to release my own music, starting with TipToes.

The track TipToes was released as a single on 22nd January, 2021.

Tell us something about the track TipToes!
Written back in 2013, TipToes started off as the opening melody in my head. I then developed and built the rest of the track around that adding in a slight variation in the middle but always wanting to end the track with the opening melody. Unfortunately, I can’t remember where the title came from. Naming songs is what I find hardest especially as there are no lyrics involved. I don’t always go into composing music with a set idea of what I want to create, more of a feeling around the track that I allow to develop as I am composing.

Thank you very much for this Jonathan!
