Today I’m presenting you with the track Swallows in your window by the Cypriot composer and piano player Oxiroma. Oxiroma has been playing music since the age of twelve, and his first instrument was the trumpet. Since 1998 he has worked as a producer/arranger in different studios.

The idea for this track was born from an ordinary evening spent by the fireplace. It was an evening of reflection on the fact that composers usually do not listen to their own compositions. I decided to set myself a task, to compose something that I could immediately turn on the playlist on a cozy home acoustics and continue the evening in a rattan chair by my fireplace. To abstract myself and listen, like some music not written by me, from my favorite radio station. When you think about it, you are divided into two different people. One of them certainly wants to express his inner world (the composer’s ego), and the other just wants to turn on a background that caresses the ear, which does not interfere with life and conversations. I have learned to separate these two different entities in myself and will continue to compose detached from myself. I like it more passionately. And I must admit that the listeners do too.
