Today I’m presenting you with the track cohesion by the American composer and piano player Aaron Peterson and his moniker Aaronk. Aaron based in Portland, “where the moody rain helps inspire my pieces”.
The track Cohesion is the title track from an EP released in January 2022.
Tell us something about your track cohesion!
The title refers to the juxtaposition of styles in the pieces, one approach a dreamy and floating aural landscape and the other melodic and intentionally driven. The blend has come to match the instrument I’m using, a Kawaii, that tells the story seamlessly. I composed this piece, and the rest of the pieces on the EP, through more of a story-telling programmatic lens than the first EP ‘memos’.
