Spotted: Aatraus – Gone Are the Days

Today I’m introducing you to the Finnish composer and piano player Aatraus from Tampere. Aatraus is a self taught pianist who started composing in high school. Besides from creating beautiful piano pieces; he also writes music for orchestra and video games.

The track Gone Are the Days was released on the album Meditations which came out on the 13th of august, 2021.

Tell us something about your track Gone Are the Days!
There is a quote from author Earl Nightingale that always spoke to me: “Never give up on a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway.” I wanted a song on the album to portray this thought, as I feel it fits my own journey with this album and as a musician. And so I wrote Gone Are the Days, which is a piece of soft melancholy that depicts time passing by as one struggles to hold on to their dreams. Yet in its core is that positive sense of enlightenment that ultimately those days were not in vain.

Thank you for this lovely track!
