Today I’m presenting you with the track Afterglow by the British composer and piano player Adrian Webster, also known as CrusaderBeach. Adrian is from Blackpool, a seaside town in the UK and started playing the piano in his early childhood.
My family owned an old upright which was kept in my bedroom, so I played it for hours on end, developing melodies for my own pleasure. It was only in later life that I began releasing my music publicly using the artist profile ‘CrusaderBeach’ – a name derived from a stretch of coast where I grew up.
The track was released as a single on 5th February, 2021 but will also be part of an piano album to be released later this year.
Tell us something about your track Afterglow!
I wanted to create a gentle piece with an ethereal, meditative atmosphere that was built around a repeating rhythmic phrase – this was one of those rare occasions where I just sat down at the keys and the main melody came instantly.
