Today I’m presenting you with the track 1491 by the Norwegian/American composer and piano player John Derek Bishop. John Derek comes from Stavanger and has been nominated for the Spellemann Prize (the Norwegian grammys).
The track 1491 was released as a single on the 22nd of march, 2024, but will also be part of an album in April.
Tell us something about your track 1491!
Well it is a personal track I made by recording my self playing piano, and then cutting it into a track. I work in a state of flow/meditation, and try to express feelings in the music I make. This music is intimate sounding, it is like being in the room with me recording the music when listening to it with a headset. It was recorded in my studio in Tou Lyd, in Stavanger Norway.
