Today I’m introducing you to the American composer and piano player John-William Gambrell and his track Chapter 1 / Repose. John-William is based in Boston and his main focus is piano, cello and musical theater. His original musical, titled Toothy’s Treasure, made its Off-Broadway workshop debut last year and will be produced multiple times in 2024 in New York City and Chicago.
The single Chapter I / Repose was released as a single on the 1st of march, 2024.
Tell us something about your track Chapter 1 / Repose!
The idea behind “Repose” is that each piece is improvised at first, allowing for a specific type of flow and mindfulness in each chapter. For “Chapter I” my focus was a memory about walks in the evening that I took with my wife.
