Spotted: Juan María Solare – Lo que nunca nos dijimos

Today I’m presenting you with the track Lo que nunca nos dijimos by the Argentinian composer and piano player Juan María Solare; born in Buenos Aires but now located in Bremen. I have previously written about Juan María and you can check out this Behind the piano post to get to know him better!

Juan María started to play the piano at the age of five and consider the piano to be his “mother tongue”. His musical inspiration as a kid were Chopin and he later got interested in pop music (The Beatles & Queen).

The track Lo que nunca nos dijimos was released as a single on the 27th of January, 2023 (Mozart’s birthday!). It will also part of the upcoming album Lo intransferible.

Some cultures propose that for a deep communication between two beings it is essential to say everything to each other, to talk to each other. Perhaps this is a personal limit of mine, but I allow myself to question this fetishism of verbosity. There are experiences which, when spoken, are destroyed. Like Orpheus turning back to look at Eurydice. While there are messages which ideal expression channel is verbal language, other messages will find other ways. So there is no guilt in keeping silent.
