Today I’m introducing you to the Serbian piano player and composer Nikola Pešić and his track Skies. Nikola got his first piano along with a cassette recorder at the age of seven and spend hours composing and recording his own compositions. He later received a double masters degree from Bern University. He is now based in Switzerland.
The track Skies was release on the album with the same name, which came out on the 27th of September, 2024.
Tell us something about your track Skies!
The title “Skies,” as the plural of “sky,” is symbolic. It signifies that everyone has their own sky, their own happiness, and their own path, yet our individual skies unite to form one infinite whole. I created it almost in one breath through a spontaneous improvisation as a tribute to the people we have lost, but whose presence we still feel, like guardians.
