Today I’m introducing you to the track Empathy by the Ukrainian composer and piano player Olexandr Ignatov. Olexandr lives in Lviv, in Ukraine and started playing around on an electronic keyboard at the age of seven. A couple of years later he started taking piano lessons. Making music is his full time job!
The track Empathy is taken from the album Messages which came out on September 4th, 2020.
Tell us something about your track Empathy!
The track ‘Empathy’ is one of the sixteen ‘messages’, that’s why the album is called that way. It is a very slow paced, atmospheric and dreamy experience, almost hypnotizing in some way. It makes you fall into the state of calmness especially if you try listening to this with your headphones and the eyes closed. The fun thing about this track, as well as a few others on this album is – I’ve composed and recorded it literally minutes after I woke up and left myself in the state where I was still half asleep, which was on purpose. That helped me achieve this another dimension of creativity than I usually have when I’m woke, so this track can sound really dreamy and sleep-like. When it plays you can feel like you’re sleeping and having a dream before your eyes. It’s actually pretty cool if you try listening to it that way!
Thanks for sharing this with us Olexandr!
