Today I’m presenting you with the track living water by the American composer and piano player Jared Humphers and his project source msc (pronounced “source music”). Jared started playing the guitar at the age of 14, and says that his mum has been a big influence of his musical journey. In college his focus shifted from the guitar to the piano and received a B.A. in music from Louisiana College, before going on to receive an M.A. in music business from Berklee College of Music’s online program. He is release piano-centered songs weekly as source msc.
The track living water was released as a single on the 17th of November, 2023.
Tell us something about your track living water!
“living water” is a simplistic piano piece that is meant for listeners to be reminded to draw their strength from the right source. People pleasing, comparison, always reaching for more at the expense of peace, etc. only acts as a sort of “junk food.” It may help us temporarily, but we will soon be worn down to the point of needing more and more validation, approval, and more. I composed this on Logic Pro (my preferred software) using Spitfire Audio’s library. I really enjoy Oliver Patrice Weder’s soft piano. It’s a mellow-sounding piano that I added just a little high-end brightness to.
Thanks for sending this in Jared!
