Today I’m presenting you with the track You Will Walk Were Others Fear To, by the British composer and piano player Steven Poole. Steven grew up playing piano and clarinet and later started playing saxophone and electric guitar as well.
But the past few years I have returned to my first love, the piano, and seek to compose simple — but not simplistic — music that speaks of solitude, time, and love.
This track is featured on his latest album Music for Sleeping Cats, which is out now.
Tell us something about your track You Will Walk Were Others Fear To!
Like all the tracks on the album, “You Will Walk Where Others Fear To” is partly inspired by my childhood cats, and their beauty, grace, and courage. At the same time, it is addressed to my young children at the beginning of their journey through life. It combines warm memories with hope for the future.
Thank you for this Steven!
