Today I’m presenting you to the track Noires et Blanches by the pianist and composer Andrei Poliakov, based in Switzerland. Andrei is a well educated piano player and has also played in many different bands as well. He started releasing neo classical music about three years ago.
The track Noires et Blanches was released on the compilation album Piano Day 2022, on the 25th of march, 2022.
Tell us something about your track Noires er Blanches!
This track is dedicated to Piano Day 2022, and composed early January 2022. This is a modern classical composition, very soft and tender, with the calm and nostalgic vibes. The title Noires et Blanches (translated as Blacks and Whites from French) is related to the composition form: the first part of the piece (up until 1.25) is played exclusively on black piano keys, illustrating a somewhat eastern vibe with pentatonics coming in naturally and intentionally. The second part of the piece is played only on white keys, and represents more romantically inspired melodics, with a slight 3/4 feeling coming on briefly in the middle part of the piece.
