Today I’m introducing you to the American composer and piano player Reed Pittman and his moniker Boreís with the track Crescent. Reed lives in Nashville and has been playing the piano since the age of ten. In high school he made his first compositions!
The track Crescent was released as a single on the 28th of January, 2022, but will also be part of an upcoming album.
Tell us something about your track Crescent!
Crescent is about new beginnings. That’s what it felt like to me as the music came together, so I named it after a crescent moon. It feels hopeful and expectant and reflective to me. I started the piece on the piano I grew up on when I was home visiting my parents for the holidays, then finished and recorded it at my home in Nashville.
