Today I’m introducing you to the track Delicate by the American piano duo consisting of Matt Chiarelli and Stephen Schofield. Matt and Stephen is located in Los Angeles and has worked together on various productions before. They started to make piano music together during the pandemic.
The track Delicate was released as a single on the 18th of November, 2022.
Tell us something about your track Delicate!
Our writing process for this and other pieces had a “divide and conquer”approach. Matt and I would individually and remotely write various compositions and then send the arrangements to each other for critique and edits. This specific track “Delicate” was one of the first compositions that materialized and felt special. I remember Matt sending the initial idea to me and thinking this had a “Donnie Darko” type feel. After a few back and forth revisions—and an accumulation of emptied wine bottles—Delicate was finalized and printed.
