Today I’m presenting you with the track Unbridled by the Canadian composer and piano player David Serra and his project Counting Waves. David studied classical piano at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto from the age of and then went on to to the same at York University.
The track Unbridled was released as a single on the 10th of December, 2021.
Tell us something about your track Unbridled!
A few personal notes…I have often referred to myself as a melodist, since my focus has always been to bring melody and simplicity for all listeners to enjoy with every piece I compose. Unbridled is a word that I have always loved the meaning and significance of especially as it relates to art and creation. With the performance of this piece, I intentionally breathed into the pauses and created movement with subtle tempo shifts in order to mirror the feeling of letting go of all restraint and inhibition and moving freely. The artwork of the piece also reflects this.
