Today I’m introducing you to the Spanish composer and piano player David Troya and his track Y Regalarte Girasoles. David was taught to play the piano by his older sister at the age of seven. He also plays guitar and bass, but mainly turns to the piano when composing.
The track Y Regalarte Girasoles was release on the EP El Tiempo Que Estemos Juntos high came out on the 21st of May, 2023.
Tell us something about your track Y Regulate Girasoles!
The whole EP was composed for a play called El Tiempo Que Estemos Juntos, written by Pablo Messiez and directed by Chechu Gómez. It’s a reflexion about relationships, pain, loneliness and love so I was asked to deep into these concepts along the creative process of the music. Chechu and I thought that the piano sound was perfect to represent the melancholy that we were looking for. The track Y Regalarte Girasoles was played when one of the characters says a beautiful and sweet monologue, that’s why I tried to make it sound delicate and peaceful.
