Today I’m presenting you with the track Hearts by the British composer and piano player Helen Keeling-Marston, based in Hampshire. Helen has played the piano since a very young age, and started composing seriously in about 2015, focusing on solo piano, solo piano and cello, and orchestral tracks.
The track Hearts was released as a single on the 5th of august, 2022, but will also be part of an upcoming EP.
Tell us something about your track Hearts!
As the name likely suggests, this track, “Hearts”, is about love, and the evolution of the track’s theme represents the journey of love from caution to giddiness; yet giddiness tempered with caution, as giving away your heart is a risky thing! “Hearts” is part of my upcoming EP, “Cards”, which is a four-track compilation, each track representing one of the four suits in a pack of cards. Unlike some of the other suits, I saw “Hearts” as being dreamy, melodic, quite high-pitched and with a simple ostinato.
Thank you very much for sharing Helen!
