Today I’m presenting you with the track Ease your day by the British composer and piano player James Hawken from Cornwall. James first sat on a piano stool at the age of seven, when he started his classical training. His duo The James Brother has performed across Britain, Europe and Ireland for 40 years but he is now concentrating on creating and releasing piano based music to chill, soothe and relax.

Tell us something about your track Ease your day!
Solo piano piece written especially to calm and soothe. Chill and relax to the tone and expression of the playing. An easy arrangement sets up mellow vibes to ‘Ease Your Day’! My method of writing is quite simple, I sit at the piano and play whatever I’m feeling at that moment. I record what I do and if it has potential I might develop it a little. But essentially it’s mostly improvisation and first take.
