Today I’m presenting you with the track Néova by the Portuguese composer and piano player João Balouta, based in Vila Real, a city in the north of Portugal. João started to make his own piano compositions at the age of 17.
I started to make some variations on piano songs like “Comptine d’une autre été” (by Yann Tiersen) and I saw that it felt so natural to me that I realized that I had to start creating my own songs.
The track Néova was released as a single on the 12th of April, 2024.

This track Névoa means fog in Portuguese and is kinda sad piece to me that represents the darkness that a soul could be surrounded before to find the light and get stronger for the upcoming foggy days in her life.”
