Spotted: Magnetic Vines – Reflections

Today I’m introducing you to the track Reflections by the American duo Magnetic Vines, with the two members Ross Garren and Erik Miron. Ross and Erik met on the downtown music scene in Los Angeles in the early 2010s. When the pandemic broke out in 2020 the two of them started working more intense together and has since then released two albums together.

The track Reflections was released on the album Snake River Improvisations on the 6th of December, 2021.

Tell us something about your track Reflections!
This track was recorded on an antique felt piano during an early morning session at Jens Kuross’s studio, near the confluence of the Snake and Boise Rivers in southern Idaho. It paints a pensive picture of a sunset in early spring, when the earth still slumbers under the cold of winter yet the air is full of change and impermanence. As the melancholy harmony unfolds, one can picture the last sun-drenched clouds of evening shimmering in the slow current of an old river.
