Today I’m presenting you to the drummer, guitarist and piano player Matthias Gusset from Switzerland; born and bredin Basel.
In 2010 I wanted to find my own approach to songwriting. The aesthetic of the piano (which I learned as a kid) was the most fitting for the feelings and ideas I wanted to express. I wrote a lot of neoclassical pieces, developed my own sound in this genre and released my first album ‘3’ in 2019.
The track Vapour was released as a single on the 27th of November, 2020, but will also be part of an album in 2021.
Tell us something about your track Vapour!
Vapour is a song I wrote on my upright piano at home. The birds in the backyard are pretty loud but sometimes they stop their singing when I play the piano.I started to believe, that they react to my melodies and this song always quieted them. Maybe because the liked it and wanted to listen. Maybe because the didn’t and waited for it to pass so they can carry on with their song.
