Today I’m presenting you with the track After Rain by the Irish composer and piano player Neil Foster. Neil started playing the piano as soon as he could reach the keys, and later trained as a percussionist and has played in numerous orchestras.
The track After Rain was released as a single on the 1st of January, 2022.
Tell us something about your track After Rain!
It is my attempt to convey forward motion, hope and energy while acknowledging and expressing melancholy. The track was partly inspired by the final handwritten lines found in the pocket of the poet Edward Thomas (his work is very important to me) after he was killed in the First World War: ‘Roads shining like river uphill after rain’. I love this image and it reminds me of the mountain walks near my home.
