Today I’m introducing you to the composer and piano player Pouria Zarei, from Tehran in Iran, and his track Cedar Lake. Pouria is a classical music student with his main instrument being the piano.
besides performing works of great composers, it has been over a year since I started gathering the themes and motifs I come across when Improvising, and making them into calm relaxing neoclassical piano pieces, with my classical music background always guiding me.
The track Cedar Lake was released as a single on the 3rd of December, 2021.
Tell us something about your track Cedar Lake!
The idea behind Cedar Lake hit me first when I was on a three-day journey inside the Caspian Hyrcanian Forests in the South of Azerbaijan and the Northwest of Iran. The endless healing serenity that I encountered at the heart of the forests was behind this simple tune. I hope it can offer the listeners a touch of that feeling too.
