Today I’m presenting you with the track Per Amaya by the swiss piano player and composer Simon Bächinger. Simon was introduced to the instrument at an early age by his mother, also a pianist. At 12, he performed Piano Concerto No. 12 in A major, K. 414 with orchestra, won several first prizes in competitions, and appeared at venues such as Tonhalle Zurich and KKL Lucerne.
The tradk Per Amaya was released as a single on the 3rd of april, 2026.
Tell us something about your track Per Amaya!
Per Amaya is a piece I wrote for my three year old daughter. She loves to dance, laugh, and sing all day, and I wanted to capture that feeling in the music. Like many of my pieces, it begins with evening improvisations at the piano. I recorded the EP in my own studio on a specially modified Steinway. There is also a version with piano, cello, and violin, but this solo piano version focuses on a more intimate and pure atmosphere.
