Today I’m introducing you to the British composer and piano player Josh Hill and his project The Hillside Project. Josh uses The Hillside Project as a way to collaborate with artists, filmmakers and musicians and experiment without deadline, brief or restriction.
The track The Upfloating Moon was released as a single on the 1st of march.
Tell us something about your track The Upfloating Moon!
The piece is a quiet exploration of sound, space and harmonic development, taking the image of moonrise as its inspiration. The title comes from an E.E. Cummings poem: ‘all nearness pauses, while a star can grow… goldenly huge whole the upfloating moon’.
Thank you very much for this Josh!
