Today I’m introducing you to composer and piano player Domenico Pontoriero, aslo known as Boy in the rain. Domenico has played the piano since he was a child, and stared out on a Casio keyboard. The first song got written about 15 years ago
This latest track was released on the EP Melt which came out mid march of 2020.
Tell us something about your track Feels like home!
Feels Like Home is the second track on Melt. I created it while recalling this great warmth I felt while spending time with a close friend in a familiar part of my hometown. It’s often difficult for me to describe my music because I’ve always had trouble articulating my feelings in words (which is why creating music comes more naturally to me – it’s the easiest way for me to express what I’m feeling). But if I were to explain or describe this particular song, I’d say that it’s about coming to terms with what home means – that nothing can replace the closeness of someone who loves you, and being with that person can bring you comfort and peace even when you feel like you’re falling apart. For someone who felt like I never belonged, Feels Like Home is about realizing that I do.
