Today I’m introducing you to the latest track by Serge Lacasse, or Prof. Lacasse as he calls himself when making music. Serge has been has been a professional producer, arranger, songwriter and musician for many years in the Canadian music industry, including mixing and mastering engineer. In addition to having accumulated a nice catalogue of instrumental and vocal pieces of music.
Prof. Lacasse is a multi-instrumentalist: not only does he play the piano, but he is also an accomplished drummer and guitarist. He has been writing piano music since his early teens but only recently decided to propose it to the world.
The track Moon is taken from the EP Winter Preludes which was released in march of 2020.
Tell us something about your song Moon!
As the EP title suggests, Winter Preludes, these three pieces are inspired by our Quebec winters. « Moon » is a piece about light, about moon lights: different colors, different shapes, sometimes crystal clear, some other times hazy. In Winter, the moon shines in the cold, which conveys a strange feeling of calm and (positive) solitude.
