Today I’m presenting you with the track Clouds by the Swedish composer and piano player Claes Hässlemark. Claes started to play the piano at the age of six – inspired by the music heard in movies. He has performed in various contexts in a number on genres. He is now based in Sigtuna, Sweden, where he moved after studying music in Örebro for a few years.
The track Clouds was released on the EP Aurora, which came out on the 21st of November, 2025.
Tell us something about your track Clouds!
“Clouds” came from thinking about my dad, who’s no longer around. There’s something about the sky with all its shifting shapes and moods, that’s always made me feel close to him. When I wrote the piece, I just followed that feeling. The calm parts, the heavier moments and the little shifts. It all mirrors the way the sky can be comforting and mysterious at the same time. In a way, it became my way of staying connected to him.
