Today I’m presenting you with the latest track, Night Train, by the German composer and piano player, Philipp Hermann. Philipp steadied jazz piano in Québec, Canada, where he lived for six years.
The track Night Train was released as a single in October 2nd of 2020.
Tell us something about your track Night Train!
When I first started writing this piece, the main musical idea made me think of night trains. Back when I was a kid, my parents, my brothers and I often took those to go on vacation. I remember this always being exciting and special. But the more I worked on this piece, the more it evolved into something bigger (and slightly more serious than an innocent childhood memory) – like watching bleak landscapes pass by outside the window that reflect how one feels inside.
