Today I’m introducing you to the track Tavira by the German composer and piano player Robert Gromotka, from a village just outside Münster. Robert started playing the flute at the age of six, and then went forward to play the piano and double bass.
The track Tavira was released as a single on the 26th of august, 2022.
Tell us something about your track Tavira!
There was this remarkably misty day in Southern Portugal. I took a long and lonesome walk through the beaches and countrysides of ‘Tavira’, a small village at the Algarve. And meanwhile I was walking, hardly seeing anything but fog, this mystic and unique melody came to my head. Later that day I sat down at the piano, still with this very peaceful mindset, and made it a song. I think the listener now can feel this tranquility without even knowing this backstory at all…
