Today I’m introducing you to the Irish composer and piano player SAM and his track Night Whisper. SAM is based in Dublin and started playing the piano at the age of five and hated it for many years before realizing he could play very well by ear. He started composing in his 20s and started releasing music in 2021.
The track Night Whisper was released as a single on the 15th of July, 2022.
Tell us something about your track Night Whisper!
Night Whisper appeared as a lucid, creative spark whilst falling asleep one night. I went directly from bed to the piano, allowing the music to meander out of my mind. I recorded it & went back to sleep, wondering if it happened at all. This recording is the one and only take.
Earlier this year, I took myself away to an old semi-abandoned village in the hills of Lazio, Italy for almost a month and wrote 9 pieces of music. Night Whisper is the first release from this body of work – each track will be released bi-weekly until November.
