Today I’m presenting you with the track The Road Home by the Chinese composer and piano player Yiwei Huang. Yiwei has been living in different countries in the past 12 years, but is nog located in Italy. She started to play the piano at the age of four and is trained in classical music.
The track The road home was released as a single on the 2nd of June, 2023.
Tell us something about your track The Road Home!
This piano solo is written based on my journey back home this April. Living aboard in a different continent, going back home wasn’t easy, and it became especially hard when covid hits and separated me from home for almost 4 years! In these 4 years, my life has changed dramatically, I got married, started my first job and had a baby, but my dear family couldn’t witness any of those special events due to the pandemic. In April, I was finally able to take this long-waited road back home, and embrace my home and everyone I hold dear. The melody resembles the nostalgic emotions of being apart as well as the sweet emotions when finally being home became a reality.
